

Immediately after birth, Palm Beach County babies are offered a Healthy Start Infant Screen to find out whether the baby – or family – is available for an array of helpful community services.
The screen is a simply a list of questions, filled out by a hospital liaison or staff member, that help determine whether the baby is at risk for health problems, developmental delays or any other issues.
Once screened, families are referred to the Healthy Beginnings System for services. All services are voluntary.
